One of the best ways to help ensure your child's success in school is to be involved in school programs and activities. One of the easiest ways to show your support is to participate in the PTSO. Your involvement can be arranged to fit your time schedules and the types of activities that you most enjoy. Parents possess a vast wealth of talents, abilities and energies, and we need your help! You don't have to be a leader, come up with new ideas, or speak in front of a group if you are not comfortable in those situations. Two things that you can do to support your child, school, and PTSO are:
1. Join the PTSO. Every parent and student is urged to join. The cost is $5.00 each. You can pick up an envelope in the main office, at Freshman Orientation, or Back-to-School Night. Or you can download a Membership Form here. Please make your check payable to the Bird PTSO and turn it in to the office, or have your child turn it in to his/her first period teacher. 2. Complete the Volunteer Signup Form and return it to the school (drop it off or mail it in). Our volunteer coordinator will contact you soon regarding the items for which you have volunteered.
